The Crimsonic Label is pleased to announce the release of III, the new CD by the experimental ambient rockers YETI RAIN.

III is aptly titled: it not only marks the release of the group's third CD, but also sees them expanding from a duo to a trio. Founding members Roger Ebner (sax and wind synth) and William Kopecky (basses, voice on "The Sky Sickened") were joined by Craig Walkner, an extraordinary drummer whose wide array of acoustic and electric percussion adds an exciting dimension to the ever-evolving Yeti Rain sound.

Their spontaneously composed music turns meditative and violent, the soundtrack for a beautifully disturbing dream. Inspired by storms, free jazz, surrealist poetry, and altered states of consciousness, Yeti Rain has forged another dark and surprising avant-garde masterpiece.

Yeti Rain's first CD Discarnate was released by the Canadian label Unicorn Digital in 2006. Their second CD, Nest of Storms, was released in 2008 by Sweden's Crimsonic Label. (Crimsonic is run by prog rock keyboard virtuoso Par Lindh; William Kopecky has been playing bass for the Par Lindh Project for the past ten years.)

Both Kopecky and Walkner also play in the avant-prog band Far Corner (Cuneiform Records), and all members of Yeti Rain play in Snarling Adjective Convention (Unicorn Digital), an experimental ensemble that fuses free jazz, metal, dark ambient, and funk.
